Top 5 Games That Will Keep You Hooked to Your Nintendo Switch
by Amelia
It’s been eight years since Nintendo released its original Switch, and that was indeed 1 game-changer. It’s one of the best gaming consoles out there, competing with the likes of PlayStation and X Box.
And it makes sense – for a few hundred bucks, whether you are a kid or an adult, you get something that keeps you engaged on the subway, waiting for your appointment, or anything else boring. Speaking of boring, if you have been playing the same games over and over again on your Nintendo Switch, it’s time you top it up with some new games. But where do you start?
Right here! I will be covering the best games that you can install and play on your Nintendo Switch.
-
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
If I can name one game that pretty much every Switch owner ends up playing, it’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Why? Players are familiar with it, and it is a fast and surprisingly competitive game, even when they’re just playing it to pass the time.
The controls are smooth, the track variety is solid, and the character roster has a lot of classics that we all love (at least I do). You can race solo, go online, or set up a quick round with your buddies, and it works however you want to play.
The only catch is that it requires fast internet when playing multiplayer mode. But it doesn’t bother me much because I have Xfinity at home. It is quick, dependable, and has top-notch Xfinity servicio al cliente en español for times when things sometimes go south.
-
Splatoon 3
For me, Splatoon 3 is not a typical shooter because I think it leans more on fun and strategy than pure aim (which is a nice change if you’re not into the usual FPS grind).
You jump into quick matches, try to cover the map with your team’s ink, and pull off a few sneaky splats while you’re at it. The art style is loud (I meant in a good way), and the gameplay feels responsive. If you want something that has enough depth to keep you playing, Splatoon 3 fits.
-
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
There’s a huge world to explore – you can spend hours just figuring things out, messing with physics, or climbing mountains because they’re there.
If you haven’t played on your Switch for a while now, this is one of those games that makes it worth picking up again.
-
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
There’s a reason it’s still one of the most-played games on the Switch and certainly the most played by me. It doesn’t let me get bored because it has tons of content. Whether you’re in it for casual matches, competitive fights, or just unlocking every single character, there’s something to do every time you launch it.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a button-masher (like me) or someone who’s memorized frame data; it plays well. You can have a quick round or lose an entire evening without realizing it.
-
ARMS
ARMS didn’t get the same spotlight as other Nintendo titles, but it holds its own. It’s simple at first – punch, block, dodge. But once you get the hang of timing and positioning, it gets fascinating.
The character variety is solid, and the motion controls (if you want to use them) work well. It’s different, which might be exactly what you’re looking for if everything else on your playlist is starting to feel the same. It’s not a headline title, but it’s worth a look if you want something quick and competitive.
If I Had to Choose One
If I had to pick just one game to keep on my Switch forever? Tears of the Kingdom will be there. Don’t get me wrong: I love a good kart race or chaotic brawl, but Zelda just hits different. See more undergrowthgameline.com
